E. John Post founded Post Farm Structures Inc. in 1974 at 22 years of age. Fresh from George Brown College as a licensed carpenter, John set out on his own to build quality projects.
John understands farming from the grass roots. Having grown up on the family dairy farm near Shelburne and Orton, he later started his own Guernsey herd, producing cream and raising veal calves. Since 1989 John has developed a purebred Limousin beef program, Posthaven Limousin, producing quality beef genetics that have been marketed throughout North America and internationally.
Today, Post Farm Structures Inc. has grown to be a true family business with the entrance of the second generation. John’s sons, having grown up with the "hammer in the hand", understand the art of construction from the basics, while John now enjoys more time working on the farm. With a history of 33 years of service, Post Farm Structures Inc. is a respected name in the business.
